About Conference
The Arab Council for Sustainable Development is one of the Arab councils emanating from the Association of Arab Universities, hosted by Amman Arab University, and was established by a decision of the Executive Council of the (53rd) session of the General Conference, held during the period 11/15/2021-14. The establishment of this council comes to consolidate the mission of the Association of Arab Universities to support and coordinate the efforts of Arab universities to qualify people capable of serving Arab nation, preserve its cultural and civilizational unity, develop human resources in a way that achieves its aspirations, encourage the establishment of joint Arab research and scientific centers, exchange outcomes, stimulate applied research, and link their topics to Arab Economic and Social development plans.

The Arab Council for Sustainable Development aims to activate the developmental role of Arab higher education institutions and contribute to consolidating the concept of sustainable development and disseminating the culture of moral commitment to undertake responsibility towards society, the environment and humanity, and to create a conscious generation that undertakes both its social and humanitarian tasks. The importance of establishing this council coincides with the focus of international accreditation and quality institutions for universities on the number of published research papers and the number of faculty members in relation to the number of students, scientific and practical achievements, or the number of alumni only. But also, and with equal importance, the focus has become on the performance of universities in the field of community service and environmental preservation and the extent of their contribution to improving the economy of countries and developing societies.
The second indexed international scientific conference of the Arab Council for Sustainable Development, entitled (The Role of National Institutions in Confronting Environmental Current Situation and Remedial Measures), will be organized on August 13-14, 2024, and we hope to achieve the following objectives:
- Documenting the exerted efforts to confront environmental risks in all sectors
- Strengthening the role of educational institutions in environmental issues and raising environmental awareness
- Benefiting from global experiences in the field of environmental and climate change
- Presenting student projects related to confronting environmental risks
- Identifying environmental Difficulties and risks and measures of remedy.
- Evaluating the legal position and its effectiveness in confronting environmental risks.
- Identifying the preventive and procedural role of relevant ministries and institutions.
The management of the Second Indexed International Scientific Conference of the Arab Council for Sustainable Development entitled (The Role of National Institutions in Confronting Environmental Current Situation and Remedial Measures) is honored to invite researchers from various countries to participate in conference according to the following themes:
1. Education: The role of universities, schools and institutes in raising awareness of environmental risks
2. Legal and religion: policies, legislation, international treaties and protocols and their role in confronting environmental issues
3. The role of ministries and governmental and private institutions in addressing environmental issues
4. Climate changes and their impact on environmental sustainability
5. Individual attacks on environmental components and the role of the Ministries of Agriculture and Environment and the Directorate of Public Security in addressing environmental difficulties and the measures to protect them
6. The effects of wars, armed conflicts, natural disasters, and health pandemics on the environment
7. The effects of global warming issues, biodiversity waste, deforestation, mismanagement, air pollution, melting ice caps and sea level rise, ocean acidification, agriculture, overfishing, food, water and environmental security, sanitation, desertification
8. The role of clean and renewable energy, recycling, green manufacturing, and green finance in confronting environmental issues
9. Global experiences and models in confronting environmental dangers: climatic, geological, biological, technological, and geomorphological dangers
10. Student Affairs: student projects and research papers related to the conference topic
All abstracts and research papers are sent to the e-mail (exclusively) of the Scientific Committee:

1- Participation in a research paper :J.D 70 or its equivalent in other currencies, which includes presenting the research paper in the conference sessions, publishing the research paper in the conference proceedings, hospitality during the conference days, tourist trips and lunch over two days, conference bag, certificate of participation (other than Including publication fees in journals
2- Attendance without participating in a research paper is J.D 50 or its equivalent in other currencies, which includes: hospitality during the Conference days, tourist trips and lunch over two days, conference bag, and certificate of participation
3- Participation fees in the conference do not include publishing fees in Scopus, and fees are according to the journal the researcher choose.
4- Travel and accommodation costs are responsibilities of the researcher.
5- The last date for paying conference participation fees is 7/30/2024.5
6- Participation fees are deposited into the Amman Arab University account after receiving the final acceptance letter for research papers to the following account:
